Please visit, and read the amazing story about a young woman who gave the bravest, most inspiring fight against cancer…
I never had the privilege of really getting to know Rosie, she was what you would class as a ‘facebook friend’ however, I followed her blogs, checking everyday on her progress.. The effect she had on me was so strong that when I was on holiday a couple of weeks ago, I heard the news that Rosie had passed away.. I broke down in tears and felt such devastation for her friends and family. I can’t begin imagine how they must feel.
So yesterday, I went to Rosie’s funeral. A beautiful ceremony for a beautiful girl..
Tony Walsh, the poet actually held the service… And he had written the most beautiful poem for Rosie.. It was the first time i’d ever seen a poet actually ‘perform’.. To be honest, i’d never really understood the fascination in poetry.. but I was overwhelmed by his talent.
I’ve done a little bit of stalking on him today, and fell in love with one of his previous poem’s:

It reminds me of the Sunscreen song… and also of Rosie, as she lived 19 years to the full.
